Helping out our neighbor to the south.
There may be many among you who are unaware but, one of our country’s closest neighbors is undergoing a crisis of rather severe proportions:
Cuba, in the grip of a serious economic crisis, is running short of toilet paper and may not get sufficient supplies until the end of the year, officials with state-run companies said on Friday.
But wait! There’s hope:
The good news: Day-old copies of the Communist party’s newspaper Granma, a traditional substitute, are available for less than a U.S. penny. And that’s six to eight full, if rough, pages per day.
Thinking about it, made me realize we are really a very selfish nation. What do I mean? Well, it’s fairly obvious we have an abundance of ass-wipes in this country and we should really be helping out the impoverished people of Cuba by exporting some of them to their needy country. We could send two rolls of toilet paper along with each one as well.
